HAPPY to say that proof is in the buckle -
when I started I could not get the ends of the belt to touch -

  4. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Making Vanilla Shakeology Delicious

IF you are like me and you use Shakeology
you have found you are not a fan of Vanilla
Yesterday when reminded by a friend of the benefits of Turmeric
I decided to try and experiment;
1 cup of whole organic milk
2 turmeric tablets opened into the blender
sprinkle of cinnamon and a teaspoon of maple syrup -
your scoops of Vanilla Shakeo.
Makes a wonderful snack -
Its delicious and SO GOOD FOR YOU!
Enjoy and have a
nutritionally motivating day -

Health Benefits of Turmeric
When examining the research, turmeric benefits go beyond that of these 10 drugs:
  • Anti-inflammatory drugs
  • Anti-depressants (Prozac)
  • Chemotherapy
  • Anti-coagulants (Aspirin)
  • Pain killers
  • Diabetes drugs (Metformin)
  • Arthritis medications
  • Inflammatory bowel disease drugs
  • Cholesterol drugs (Lipitor)
  • Steroids

Break fast

For years you have been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day -
ITS TRUE
it really is -
the right amount of protein and fiber sets the tone
for how you will eat and function the rest of the day!
When I get a healthy nutritional breakfast I am less tempted to
"fall off the nutritional wagon" so to speak the rest of the day.
I know how many calories I need to function properly for the day-
and depending on how hard I work out each day
depends on how many calories I need -

Here is one of my go to bfast - simple and quick!

1/2 Ezekiel Bread sprouted English muffin with 1 tbls. of all natural peanut butter
Egg Whites scrambled with one whole egg and a bit of garlic cooked in olive oil
when cook I add a layer of raw spinach (wonderful green protien)
then I add a sprinkling of Feta - cover and let melt a bit - enjoy with a glass of water.
NOTE: when I use cheese in a recipe (any recipe) I never add salt -
cheese usually has more than enough salt for any recipe -
Have a nutritionally
motivating day!

!!!

I'm am anti processed foods - I spent 2 years doing research on this program- I have to be careful what I eat and how I exercise as I have Fibromyalgia- how much I move and what I eat directly affects how much pain I have!
With incorporating Shakeology and some form of my moderate exercise I feel better in less than two months than I have felt in years and the lbs. I have struggled with are coming off!  I have dealt with chronic heart burn for years - finally with Shakeology my heart burn episodes are few and far between -  I am truly sorry to everyone that was doing Shakeology that I tried to discourage- get back to it- I get it now!! Almost 10 lbs down and 10-15 more to go!!

Frustrations and Focus

It's time ... I have tried every other trick in the book but nothing is working - losing weight during menopause is a cruel act of nature but I am told it can be done - so no more "I will wait till after...whatever"
Today I will hike more... I will eat better... I will look great after 50!
Only I am souly responsible for how I look and feel, so today ... I will...
              Hike further.... Eat better!

I'm back

Life's been a bit chaotic with the big move and all but I loved reading this today...

What will you Risk? The caterpillar doesn’t worry about risk. The butterfly doesn’t worry about risk. The seed doesn’t worry about risk. We humans are hardwired for survival…..we are protected by our fears….but we are also stunted by them. We allow our fears to hold us back, to keep us from truly living. I recently was exposed to this Creed and took the liberty of adapting it to my liking. It has a powerful message……

To Risk Nothing
The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing!

To laugh is to risk appearing to be a fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out to another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To live is to risk dying. To hope is to risk disappointment. To try is to risk failure.

But risks must be taken, because the greatest mistake in life is to risk nothing!

The person who risks nothing…..gains nothing, knows nothing new,  and is nothing more than they were the moment before, the day before, the year before.

They may avoid suffering and sorrow but they do not learn, feel change, grow, love, or thrive. They survive.

Chained by their beliefs, by their judgements……..they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free.
